Chinoiserie Toile, part of our collaboration with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, was inspired by a copperplate-printed curtain circa 1770. The original design recalls the tea, porcelain and silk trade between the Far East and the colonies and is evidence that global chic is not a new concept. Taking liberties in both scale and composition, it reflects a decidedly modern take on this timeless pattern.
